Infant Daycare in Boise, Idaho - Ages 3 to 12 Months

Nurturing, small-group infant care in the heart of downtown Boise. Because your baby deserves more than just a safe place, they deserve a cozy home away from home.

Leaving your baby with a caregiver for the first time is one of the hardest things a parent does. At Hygge Kinder House, we built our infant program with that moment in mind — and we've designed everything around making it easier for both of you.

Our infant care program in downtown Boise serves babies ages 3 to 12 months in a warm, cozy environment inspired by the Scandinavian concept of hygge — a deep sense of comfort, safety, and belonging. We keep our groups small and our caregiver ratios well below Idaho state requirements, so your baby receives the individual attention, gentle routines, and secure attachments they need to thrive in their earliest months.

We are also proud to be an approved ICCP provider. If your family qualifies for Idaho's Child Care Program subsidy, we welcome you! We deeply believe that great infant care should be accessible to every Boise family.

How We Support Your Baby’s Development

Every infant develops on their own timeline. Our caregivers follow each baby's lead, building responsive routines that support growth across every domain.

  • Secure attachment: Consistent caregivers so your baby forms trusting bonds with the adults in their life.

  • Sensory & motor play: Age-appropriate materials and movement activities that support early motor milestones — tummy time, reaching, grasping, and first steps.

  • Language development: Narrated caregiving, songs, stories, and rich conversation from the very first day. Babies absorb language long before they speak it.

  • Gentle daily rhythms: Predictable feeding, sleep, and play schedules that sync with each baby's home routine and support healthy development.

  • Nature connection: Weather-permitting, our infants experience the sights, sounds, and fresh air of downtown Boise, we are so lucky to be steps from the Greenbelt and parks.

  • Transparent communication: Frequent updates so you know how your baby is doing, this is a partnership made stronger with two way communication!

FAQ

  • We welcome babies starting at 12 weeks (3 months) through approximately 12 months, at which point they transition to our toddler program when developmentally ready.

  • We intentionally staff well above Idaho state requirements, ensuring each child receives highly attentive and individualized care. During select transition times, such as arrivals and departures, children may join mixed-age groups in carefully curated shared spaces that encourage connection and ease transitions. At all times, our ratios remain comfortably below state guidelines.

  • Yes — Hygge Kinder House is an approved ICCP provider. Families who qualify for Idaho's childcare subsidy are warmly welcome. Visit our ICCP page to learn how to apply.

  • Absolutely. We follow each family's feeding preferences and schedule carefully. You're welcome to bring breast milk, formula, or any foods your pediatrician has cleared for your baby.

  • The best first step is to book a tour so you can see our space and meet our team. Spaces are limited and fill on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend reaching out early — especially for our youngest age group.

  • As of 2025, no daycare provider in Idaho is allowed to require vaccinations due to new legislation. We are still required to gather records and exemptions. Having said that, we are pro-science and as we have a child in our own family that relies on herd immunity, we are very pro-vaccine and have been thrilled to see our Hygge families so far are as well.
