Welcoming Our New School Director: Sage Romano

We are delighted to announce that Sage Romano has joined Hygge Kinder House as our new School Director!

Sage was born and raised in Massachusetts, where her love for both education and the outdoors first took root. Her journey later brought her to Idaho, where she pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction with a cognate in Early Childhood.

Over the past seven years, Sage has built a career in early childhood education, serving in both teaching and leadership roles. She is deeply committed to play-based learning and to creating safe, supportive environments where children can grow, thrive, and develop a strong sense of self. Guided by the belief that education should reflect children’s interests, Sage emphasizes the importance of belonging, community engagement, and meaningful time outdoors—all values that align closely with our philosophy at Hygge Kinder House.

Outside of her professional life, Sage enjoys baking, crafting, and immersing herself in nature. She is excited to join the Hygge Kinder House community and looks forward to contributing to our mission of fostering child-centered learning experiences that nurture curiosity, confidence, and joy.
