Assistant Teacher

Compensation: $16–$17/hour, full-time or part-time
Schedule: Flexible—ideal for students or those seeking consistent hours

Role Overview

Assistant Teachers support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, play-based environment. You’ll help set up activities, engage children in learning and discovery, and maintain a safe, welcoming space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily routines, activities, and classroom preparation

  • Build warm relationships with children and families

  • Support children’s social-emotional development through positive guidance

  • Help maintain a clean, organized classroom and meet health/safety standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; early childhood coursework a plus

  • Experience with young children (professional or volunteer) preferred

  • Passionate about outside play and willingness to be outdoors with children for 2-3 hours/day

  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and a collaborative spirit

  • Idaho Childcare License (or willing to obtain)

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
